White guava is a tropical fruit originated in Central America and brought to India by Portuguese explorers. Currently, India is the largest producer of white guava. It is widely cultivated in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka. The varieties produced in the northern states of India are mostly table varieties. The pulp variety guavas are predominantly cultivated in the region of Tamilnadu, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh.
The white guava concentrate is extracted from sound mature, fresh, and high quality guava fruits maintaining commercial sterility. We export large quantities of white guava concentrate to various countries maintaining the quality standards. Due to its health benefits, the demand for white guava concentrate in domestic markets is also on the rise.
Manufacturing process:
The manufacturing process typically begins with harvesting, sorting and ripening. The Sorted fruits are thoroughly washed and sent to the conveyor. The secondary sorting is carried out on the conveyor. The washed white guava fruits are sent to the pulping machine to produce white guava pulp. The white guava pulp is passed through the evaporator to remove content in the pulp. This increases the brix level and the transportation cost is reduced as white guava concentrate consumes less space.
The concentrate is passed through an online strainer and metal detector to remove foreign particles. The product is sterilised, cooled, and packed in aseptic bags. The aseptic bags are stored in MS drums and sealed with traceable labelling. The product should be stored in ambient temperature.
