Pineapple, known for its sweet and tangy taste, is a tropical fruit that has been cultivated for thousands of years in South America and subsequently spread across the globe. Today, India is a significant producer of pineapples, with major cultivation areas in West Bengal, Assam, Tripura, and Meghalaya. At our manufacturing facility, we exclusively use the finest quality pineapples from our trusted farmers to produce our pineapple puree. Our manufacturing process involves selecting and processing only the ripest pineapples to ensure the puree has the best possible flavour and nutritional value.
Manufacturing process:
Harvesting and Selection: The first step in the process is to carefully select and harvest fully ripe pineapples from the farm. This ensures that the fruit has the required Brix content.
Washing and Peeling: Once the pineapples are harvested, they are washed to remove any dirt and impurities. The next step is to remove the outer layer or peel of the pineapple. This is done either manually or by the machine. After the pineapples are peeled, the crown of the pineapple is removed either manually or by machinery.
Crushing and Extraction: The pineapples are then fed into a crusher, which breaks down the fruit and extracts the juice from it. The Pineapple juice is then sent to a filter to remove any impurities.
Sterilisation: The puree is then heated to a high temperature to sterilise it and kill any bacteria. This is done using a sterilisation machine to ensure that the puree is safe to consume.
Cooling and Packaging: Once the puree has been sterilised, it is then cooled to room temperature before being packed into aseptic bags or cans. These bags or cans are then sealed to preserve the freshness and flavour of the puree.
Storage and Shipping: The final step in the process is to store the packaged puree in a cool and dry place before shipping it to customers. This ensures that the puree retains its quality and flavour during transit and storage.
